Our Process
Product Care

Granite and Silestone®: Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner or a mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use scouring powders or creams; these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface. Spills should be wiped up immediately. Spills left on the surface for an extended time period may leave some residual staining. To remove difficult spills, soak the area for 10 minutes with a mild household cleaner (such as Formula 409®, Lysol®, or Windex®) then rinse and clean away with a soft Scotch Brite® pad. For stains that harden as they dry, such as food and gum, remove by gently scraping off of the surface (using a blade or putty remover) and then clean using warm water and soap.

For granite: Weekly usage of Revitalizer keeps the granite sealed so that yearly sealing is not required. These tips will help to keep your granite as beautiful as the day it was installed.

For Silestone® No sealing is required for Silestone®

Natural Stones (Travertine, Marble & Limestone): Natural stones can be cleaned using a neutral non-abrasive cleaner with a pH between 7 and 10. Rinse well and dry to prevent cleaner build-up. For tiles in a shower, a good daily habit to cut down on maintenance, is to wipe down the area to prevent mold and mildew. For tiles on floors be sure to dust mop frequently to remove grit and dirt. Your natural stones should also be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer once every 6 months to year. Simple maintenance of your stone will keep it elegant for years.

Ceramic Tile: For routine maintenance of your ceramic tile use a non oil-based all purpose cleaner, then rinse to prevent excess build-up. Sweep floors regularly to remove dirt and grit. Wiping down showers after using will keep soap and hard water buildup to a minimum. Because ceramic tile is not porous, the tile itself does not need to be sealed.

Grout: Sanded and non-sanded grout should be cleaned with a non-oil based all-purpose cleaner. Do not clean with ammonia or bleaches due to possible discoloration of grout joints. Periodically during routine cleaning, and to remove stubborn materials, directly agitate the grout with a scrub brush.

Product Care

Precautions: Granite and Silestone are resistant to heat and can withstand moderately high temperatures for brief periods of time without being damaged. As with any natural stone, however, certain exposure to heat may cause cracks due to thermal shock. Always use a trivet to place hot items on Granite or Silestone. Do not use crock pots or electric skillets while in direct contact with Granite or Silestone natural quartz surfaces. The following will harm Silestone: Drano®, Liquid Plummer®, oven cleaners and floor strippers. Do NOT use these or any other harsh chemicals on your Silestone natural quartz surface.

Do's and Don'ts -

  • Do dust mop floors frequently
  • Do clean surfaces with mild detergent or stone soap
  • Do thoroughly rinse and dry the surface after washing
  • Do blot up spills immediately
  • Do protect floor surfaces with non-slip mats or areas rugs and countertop surfaces with coasters, trivets or placemats
  • Don't use vinegar, lemon juice or other cleaners containing acids on marble, limestone, travertine or onyx surfaces
  • Don't use cleaners that contain acid such as bathroom cleaners, grout cleaners of tub & tile cleaners
  • Don't use abrasive cleaners such as dry cleansers or soft cleansers
